Hello.  My name is Beverley Worrall and I am a lecturer at West Coast Institute of Training, Western Australia.  The institute is in Joondalup, a northern suburb of the capital city, Perth.  The photo is of the main campus building.

  2. Dear Beverly!
Is West Coast Institute of Training, Western Australia run by municipality or is it private? Is your education at high school free or not?
    Best regards,

  3. thanks Pernilla - it is a nice setting.
Elena, West Coast Institute is funded by the State Government. It is tertiary education, and was until 2014, highly subsidised by the government. A Certificate III in Business cost only $600. Now the same course is $1600.00.
State high school education is free, but books and uniforms are not free.

  4. Dear Beverley,
in Sweden books are free for all schoolchildren, and nobody has school uniforms. How about the australian children from poor families, can they get some kind of scholarship to pay for books and uniforms?
