My name is Janna Krstic and I work as a VET teacher at this school. I have an advanced diploma in hotelmanagment from Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, close to Sydney. After 9 years of a very busy lifestyle at the Hilton in Sydney I decided to move back to Gothenburg.
This school is now my workplace and its very old and heritage listed. He offer a wide range of courses, mostly SFI which is swedish for immigrants. This is the swedish version of TAFE in Australia.
We are divided into several departments. My department is located close to the entrance and we are specialised in VET educations. We offer several programs such as Hotel and eventmanagment, Child care programs, Trade and administrations and also Food and trade courses. This is the main entrance of the old scohool and the restaurant I will tell you more about is located behing the glass part in the front.
I have chosen to tell you more about the food and trade program and when I took this shot outside, I was quite surprise that the wather was sunny and nice.
Sweden is very cold in general and now spring is comming our way, but if you ever come here I can promise that you would love it.
What a beautiful old building and a brilliant blue sky.
ReplyDeleteHow do teachers and students get to school - by private car or public transport?
Hi Beverly, Most of the student get to school by public transport or by walking. The school is in the city centre so it is not difficult to find.
ReplyDeleteSome teachers drive their cars to School but parking is so expensive and therefore not many use the parking area.
Teachers get free parking at my college. Students pay $40 for a 6 month parking permit. Joondalup is 27 kilometers from our capital city, Perth.
ReplyDeleteHi Beverly, thats a good deal for both parties.
ReplyDeleteschool lookin good! is it a good workplace?
ReplyDeleteHi Richard
